The Wichita Dance Roundup is offering all of
the American Country Dance Association divisions. Couples, ProAms, Line
Dancers & Teams
are welcome!!
We will be using the 2010 ACDA rules, available at
www.americancountrydanceassociation.com.
Workshops: We are planning a full weekend of
couples and line dance workshops in all dances and all skill levels. Your weekend pass is your
ticket to all of the classes. We have invited your favorite instructors.
Friday
workshops are 12 - 5pm (3 ea hour)
Saturday workshops are 9 -
5pm (2 ea hour)
Sunday workshops are 9 - 1pm
(2 ea hour)
Friday Night Swing & Salsa & Cabaret (any dance -
anything goes) Competition:
Our Friday night competition gets bigger and better every year. Join us for our Strictly & Classic
Swing event for couples & Pro-Ams.
Strictly Swing Pro-Am and Couples will be Lead/Follow, heated
format and the DJ
choices the music.
Classic Swing Pro-Am and Couples will
allow routines and your music in solo format.
Salsa
will be Lead/Follow, heated format and the DJ choices the music.
Cabaret - ANYTHING GOES - Solo format, your music,
routines, any dance, lifts drops etc.
Friday Night Swing Jack -n- Jill Competition:
Newcomer/Novice & Intermediate/Advanced divisions. cost is $5.00 to enter.
Saturday Night Show & Competition:
Saturday night will feature the Showcase, Superstars and Pro-Pro divisions. Wichita is
well known for our magnificent show. This will be yet another you won't
want to miss. !
Saturday Night Two Step Jack -n- Jill Competition:
Newcomer/Novice & Intermediate/Advanced divisions. cost is $5.00 to enter.
Line Dancers:
The dance floor that you
will be enjoying all weekend is not one of those "hotel
dance floors", instead it is made with the same materials and same
finish as the floor in the main ballroom. There will be hours of Line
Dance workshops and nightly dances.

Scoring:
Trailblazers will be scoring our
event again this year. Your scores will be distributed, free of charge,
at awards. Workshop rooms will be available 24 hours for practice or
privates. The ballroom will include fully stocked dressing rooms for
your convenience.
Instructors:
Again this year we are offering cash
prizes totaling $1000 to the top 4
pros (2 Male and 2 Female): 1st-$400, 2nd-$300, 3rd-$200 & 4th-$100. Bring
your students!!
